Meet Katie

Hi, I’m Katie and I help teachers wipe away the overwhelm by providing manageable lesson plans for you the teacher and meaningful activities for your students.

Meet Katie Phillabaum

I hear you, friend…

You are working beyond contract hours looking to provide the best instruction and the best activities for your students. I feel you- because I’ve been there. Being a teacher is so rewarding but it’s easy to get too overwhelmed too easily and for too long. That doesn’t have to be you anymore.

You're in the right place if...

  • You are aimlessly scouring the Internet for lesson plan ideas but it doesn’t lead anywhere.
  • You want done-for-you lessons that are easy prep and you know will deliver great instruction to your students.
  • You want engaging and meaningful student activities that fit the needs of all your learners.
  • You want to leave school knowing your lesson plans are done and you don’t have to worry about tomorrow or next week.

Want to know a little about me?

Did you ever play school growing up? I sure did! I was always the “teacher” using the little chalkboard in my grandma’s hallway playing school with my cousins every year.

So needless to say, I’ve wanted to be a teacher my whole life.

Fast forward and here I am! My dream came true. I’ve been teaching for eight years in first and second grade.

I don’t know about you, but I love seeing those “aha” light bulb moments in my students! Especially after I’ve spent so much time preparing my lessons and cutting and laminating all the things.

That’s why I created Primary Teaching Adventures. My goal is to help teachers get more “aha” moments with their students without being overwhelmed and burning themselves out in the process.

You shouldn’t be taking up all your time on the weekends with lesson planning. Your time is valuable. Your focus as a teacher should be about delivering manageable lesson plans and watching your students grow with engaging, meaningful activities.

And I’m here to help you with that because we’re in this teaching adventure together!

So my teacher friend, how can I help you?
